Founded in 2003, Brent Oil is a registered non-refining wholesaler focusing mainly on the commercial market. Operating under contract with Sasol, PetroSA and Total South Africa, this association ensures that we are able to secure a full range of petroleum products throughout South Africa. Currently Brent Oil is the only non–refining wholesaler with a national footprint.

Since inception the company has grown substantially, but even more so over the past two years through branding and equipment investments in the retail sector. We have become a significant player in the commercial market and will continue our growth focus while maintaining the excellent service levels for which we have become renowned.

In the 2010 financial year we exceeded R1.5 billion in turnover and posted after-tax earnings well in excess of expectation. Brent Oil expects to exceed 30 million litres a month in the current financial year.

The company has its head office in Irene, with representation in the Eastern Cape through Port Elizabeth-based Brent Oil Eastern Cape. Brent Oil Cape, based in Stellenbosch, services the Western and Southern Cape and the Northern Cape region is covered by an agent. Brent Oil North has depots in Vaalwater and Marble Hall covering supply to Limpopo and  Northwest provinces and some parts of Mpumalanga. Brent Oil 1CC is the depot servicing the Gauteng region. Representation in KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State is being finalised. However, customers in these areas can be serviced by Brent Oil-contracted, reliable distributors.

Service needs of our clients have required us to commit capital to infrastructure such as tankers and depots in the various provinces. There now are depots in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, Western Cape, North West, Limpopo and the Eastern Cape. In addition, a fleet of 25 tankers are employed to ensure optimum delivery.

We are justifiably proud of our branded retail sites and intend growing this side of the business significantly so as to add further brand value.

Clients encompass a range of companies in the transport, logistics, construction, agriculture, mining, fuel distribution and retail sectors.

As an emerging BEE petroleum wholesale company, Brent Oil has enormous potential and the board believes that within five years it will achieve the 100 million litres a month mark.

The company does not intend growing at any cost, but rather to concentrate on specific niche markets. More than ever before, we are intent on providing outstanding service and competitive prices to a select number of clients.
